on the foods it serves on a daily basis.

Now that Foodist serves more than 300,000 meals a day,
it is essential to maintain the highest level of food safety.

Our Food Lab's Missions

Warehouse inspection
  • Upon receiving, the inbound food goods are checked for inspection, some of which are picked up and analyzed on a random basis. Foodist’s food lab runs a variety of tests to identify the hazardous materials such as residual pesticide, heavy metal. Another critical test it runs is the DNA analysis, which identifies the true origin of the goods, to prevent fraud.
Identification of hazardous materials
  • The food lab has built a huge database upon the possible food hazards in collaboration with domestic and overseas partners, and the lab works closely with the quality management team to prevent possible violation of food safety regulations of the nation.
On-premise inspection
  • The food lab collects and analyses the samples from the business premises of the company, which includes dining facilities, logistics centers, vehicles, uniforms, utensils and tools, etc.
Quality control of Fresh Produce and Staples
  • In order to prevent intended or unintended mixture of domestic and imported goods, or mislabeling of the origin of foods, the food lab runs a series of tests upon the fresh & processed produce and staples.

  • Foodist believes good foods come from good suppliers.
    In this regard, Foodist’s food lab has established
    strict evaluation program for suppliers and been monitoring
    them on a regular basis.

    outlets are applied to all outlets run by Foodist.

    – Running regional auditors who run tests and monitors the outlets within their regions

  • Foodist has established its own internal regulations of 16 articles,
    of 66 pages. The internal auditors are running regular check-ups
    to make sure 50 food safety activities are performed.
