Foodist - Foodist

Procurement system

Foodist’s core principle of procurement is the
direct sourcing from the producers

The experienced merchandisers are organically organized to reflect their specialties,
and the permission of supply is granted to the suppliers on a unanimous decision
by both the procurement teams and quality assurance teams

  • Produce & Staples
    • Foodist sources pounded rice,
the major staple of South Koreans,
directly from the rice processing centers (RPC’s)
in 8 prefectures of the nation.
All fresh produces are also directly sourced from farms on a
contract basis, while the price is carefully monitored
by the merchandisers to ensure cost-effective
      supply of goods.
  • Meat and poultry/seafood
    • Foodist sources its meat,
poultry and seafood directly from domestic and overseas packers.
In order to prevent possible food hazards,
Foodist deals with none but the traceable,
      HACCP-certified packers.
  • Processed foods
    • In principle, all processed foods are sourced directly from the
      HACCP-certified manufacturers.
In order to enhance the quality of foods
      manufactured by small suppliers,
Foodist has been running audit programs on these suppliers.
